The Martha's Vineyard Film Society's programs depend
on Society Memberships. Ticket sales alone do not cover film and venue
rental fees and other expenses.
Your society membership supports programs that:
* Inspire and enlighten audiences
* Shed understanding upon contemporary concerns
* Foster community support for worthy causes
* Delight the young at heart
When you join, you ensure the Film Society will continue to bring to our
Island critically acclaimed films that are not typically shown at our
local commercial theaters. Your annual contribution will keep the Society
going and growing, bringing the best in world cinema, documentaries and
independent films to the Vineyard community.
The Film Society is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation. Your society
membership or donation is fully tax exempted.

Individual - $30
One-year individual membership brings these benefits:
- Membership card
- Reduced admission ($4.00) to all films (unless otherwise posted)
- Advanced notice by post or e-mail of Society programs
- Invitation to Special member events - usually free of charge
- Member discount on all speaker series & seminars
Student - $15
Students age 12-25 eligible (with ID). Offers same benefits as Individual Membership
For persons age 62 or older. Same benefits as Individual Membership.
Dual - $50
A Dual membership includes these benefits:
- One Dual membership card (one member and a guest)
- Reduced admission ($4.00 each) for two to all films
- All other benefits provided to Individual members
Film Buff - $150
This one year membership includes all Dual membership benefits plus
- Invitation for two to a private donor screening
- Priority ticket purchase for special events, including
events with filmmakers
Film Enthusiast - $500
This one year membership includes all Film Buff benefits, plus:
- Free admission for one to all films
- Invitation for two to a Filmmaker Event and/or Reception
- And a sponsored listing on the Film Society's web site
Silver Screen Producer's Circle - $2,500
An annual gift of $2,500 or more makes you a member of the Silver Screen Film Circle, our most prestigious membership program. Members at these levels enjoy a variety of special benefits and privileges including :
- Free Admission for two people for one year
- Private Screening of a regularly scheduled film or one that you may choose for you and 100 of your guests.
We are pleased to offer these benefits to thank our members for their generosity. Until you receive your card, the e-mail receipt from your online membership purchase will serve as proof that you are eligible for member discounts.
The Martha's Vineyard Film Society is supported by donations, sponsorships, grants, and event admissions to produce and present the excellent film programming enjoyed by our island wide community year-round. We look forward to your continued support as we enter our fifth year.
